Emulsification

We are very old-fashioned when we immunize our goats. For over ten years we have been using Freund’s Adjuvant to emulsify our peptides conjugated to BCP and we see no reason why we should change adjuvant (100% immune response). We use two 2ml glass syringes connected to each other with an emulsifying needle. We allow the mixture to pass the emulsifying needle several times until the mixture is completely white.

We keep the emulsion for up to 1 month at 4C.
