Purification and Storage

Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Supplied at 0.5 mg/ml in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH7.3 with 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
Aliquot and store at -20°C. Minimize freezing and thawing.

Applications Tested

Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:32000.
Western blot: Experiments gave bands at approx 55kDa and 30kDa in lysates of Human Placenta and of cell line HeLa after 0.5µg/ml antibody staining. These bands correspond to earlier findings in literature with different antibodies (Bailey et al , J Clin Endocrinol Metab. 2002 Apr;87(4):1717-28.; PMID: 11932306). This protein has a calculated MW of 54.5kDa according to NP_001871.2. Recommended concentration: 0.5-1.5µg/ml.
