Immunogen

Peptide with sequence SSPTTSSLDTPLPGC, from the N Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_009052.3.

Purification and Storage

Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Supplied at 0.5 mg/ml in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH7.3 with 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
Aliquot and store at -20°C. Minimize freezing and thawing.

Applications Tested

Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:64000.
Western blot: Experiments gave a band at approx 80kDa and a weak band at appr. 60-kDa in human bone marrow lysate after 1µg/ml antibody staining. These bands correspond to earlier findings with different antibodies (PMID: 12393874-60kDa and other unpublished antibodies-80kDa). This protein has a calculated MW of 51.0kDa according to NP_009052. Recommended concentration: 1-3µg/ml.
IHC: In paraffin embedded Human Spleen shows nucleolar staining. Recommended concentration, 1-2µg/ml.
