Please note that we observe two additional bands of approximately 70kDa and 40kDa in addition to the expected band. We do not have an explanation for this at present. The lower MW band (40kDa) may represent the shorter isoform which has a predicted MW of 38kDa according to AAF29032. Moreover, CIS4 has several glycosylation sites. Glycosylation can increase the apparent MW of proteins on SDS-PAGE [Hames, B.D and Rickwood, D., eds. Gel electrophoresis of proteins: a practical approach. Oxford University Press].
