Purification and Storage

Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Supplied at 0.5 mg/ml in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH7.3 with 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
Aliquot and store at -20°C. Minimize freezing and thawing.

Applications Tested

Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:32000.
Western blot: Approx 26kDa band observed in lysates of Human Prostate and of Hepatoblastoma cell line HepG2 (calculated MW of 22.1kDa according to NP_004055.1). The observed molecular weight corresponds to earlier findings in literature with different antibodies (Xia et al, Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A. 2005 Sep 27;102(39):14028-33; PMID: 16169901). Recommended concentration: 0.1-0.3µg/ml.
IHC: In paraffin embedded Human Prostate shows nuclear staining of secretory cells. Recommended concentration, 5-10µg/ml.
