Purification and Storage
Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Supplied at 0.5 mg/ml in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH7.3 with 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
Aliquot and store at -20°C. Minimize freezing and thawing.
Applications Tested
Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:32000.Western blot: Preliminary experiments gave bands at approx 85kDa in Human Placenta and a very strong band at approx 40-50kDa in Human Skeletal Muscle lysates after 0.1µg/ml staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for these bands we observe given the calculated size of 67.7kDa according to NP_001040625.1 and of 61.9kDa according to NP_005854.2. We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have any results been reported with other antibodies/lysates? Have any splice variants/modified forms been reported?
IHC: In paraffin embedded Human Tonsil shows staining of fibrous structures. Recommended concentration, 2.5µg/ml.
