Peptide with sequence C-MSQQLKKPIATASS, from the C Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_004678.

Please note the peptide is available for sale.

Purification and Storage

Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Supplied at 0.5 mg/ml in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH7.3 with 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
Aliquot and store at -20°C. Minimize freezing and thawing.

Applications Tested

Western blot: Western blot: Approx 90-100kDa band seen in MOLT-4 cell lysates. Recommended for use at 1-3µg/ml.

Please note that the band we observe is different to the predicted MW of 131kDa. We do not have an explanation for this at present. Ishikawa et al., (DNA Res. 5: 169-176, 1998) observed MW of the in vitro transcribed/translated product of MTMR4 greater than 100 kD by SDS-PAGE. Zhao et al., (Exp. Cell Res. 265: 329-338, 2001) observed MW of MTMR4 to be approximately 130kDa. We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have any results been reported with other antibodies? Have any splice variants/modified forms been reported?

Species Reactivity

Tested: Human
Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Mouse
