Immunogen

Peptide with sequence C-SQDDVLYALKDE, from the C Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_004144.

Purification and Storage

Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Supplied at 0.5 mg/ml in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH7.3 with 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
Aliquot and store at -20°C. Minimize freezing and thawing.

Applications Tested

Western blot: Western blot: Approx 120-130kDa band seen in HeLa cell lysates. Recommended for use at 0.5-2µg/ml.

Please note that although the predicted size of ORC1 is approximately 95kDa according to NP_004144, Le and DePamphilis [Mol. Cell. Biol., Jan 2002; 22: 105 - 116] observe ORC1 migrating at approx 120kDa on SDS-PAGE.
