Immunogen

Peptide with sequence C-QDSETTVGDVVLLST, from the C Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_005438.2.

Purification and Storage

Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Supplied at 0.5 mg/ml in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH7.3 with 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
Aliquot and store at -20°C. Minimize freezing and thawing.

Applications Tested

Western blot: Western blot: Approx 65-75kDa band seen in Mouse Kidney extracts. Recommended for use at 0.5-2µg/ml. Overnight incubation is recommended with this antibody. Please note that, although the predicted Mw of this protein is 48kDa, Chen et al [J Biol Chem 1998 Dec 11;273(50):33524-32] observed that recombinant rat P-CIP1 (same length, 85% identity) ran at approx 66kDa.
