Important Comments: PGLYRP3 and PGLYRP4 share a common C terminus. They are encoded by separate genes, but are similar in size and tissue expression. N termini are distinct but very hydrophobic.

Immunogen

Peptide with sequence C-ALYNIISTWPHFKH, from the C Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_443123.1; NP_065126.2.

Purification and Storage

Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Supplied at 0.5 mg/ml in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH7.3 with 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
Aliquot and store at -20°C. Minimize freezing and thawing.

Applications Tested

Western blot: Western blot: Approx 45-50kDa band seen in Human Heart lysate. Recommended for use at 2-4µg/ml. Note the band size observed is consistent with that observed for PGRP-Ibeta by Liu et al. (J Biol Chem 2001 Sep 14;276(37):34686-94).
