Immunogen

Peptide with sequence KGLAALPHSCLER, from the N Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_003608.1.

Purification and Storage

Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Supplied at 0.5 mg/ml in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH7.3 with 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
Aliquot and store at -20°C. Minimize freezing and thawing.

Applications Tested

Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:32000.
Western blot: Western blot: Approx 40kDa band seen in Human Lung lysate. Recommended for use at 1-3µg/ml. Please note that we cannot find any reference indicating what size RGS5 runs on SDS PAGE; we also cannot find any obvious reason for it to run at 40kDa. Do you know of anyone who has made an antibody and found it running at the expected weight - it would be very useful for us to know for the purpose of further testing.
