Immunogen

Peptide with sequence C-GSVEFDSMMNTV, from the C Terminus of the protein sequence according to NM_007315.

Purification and Storage

Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Supplied at 0.5 mg/ml in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH7.3 with 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
Aliquot and store at -20°C. Minimize freezing and thawing.

Applications Tested

Western blot: Western blot: Approx 75kDa and 90-95kDa bands seen in Jurkat cell lysates. Recommended for use at 3-5µg/ml.

Please note that we also get a lower size band (approx. 75kDa) in addition to the expected band. We do not have explanation for this band so far. This could represent an isoform of STAT1 (AAH02704), which has a predicted MW of 78kDa. Moreover, splice prediction software (http://www.bioinformatics.ucla.edu/ASAP/) indicated existence of constitutive splice varients for STAT1. We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field. Have any splice variants/modified forms been reported?
