Peptide with sequence C-KGRNSQLSLKTLR, from the C Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_001073998.2.

Purification and Storage

Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Supplied at 0.5 mg/ml in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH7.3 with 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
Aliquot and store at -20°C. Minimize freezing and thawing.

Applications Tested

Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:4000.
Western blot: Western blot: Approx 70kDa and 25kDa bands seen in Mouse Brain lysate. Recommended for use at 1-3µg/ml. This result is in agreement with Ho HY et al. (Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A 2001 Sep 25;98(20):11306-11). The CR16 ORF predicts a 49-kDa protein with an unusually high proline content (32%), which likely contributes to its aberrant migration at 67 kDa on SDS/PAGE and perhaps its reduced dye binding. The 25 kDa band may represent a novel isoform.

Species Reactivity

Tested: Mouse
Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Pig,
